Katherine & Tim's Winter Wedding in Winchelsea

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of not only taking on the role of a Visual wedding planner for the beautiful, care free Adelaide couple Katherine and Tim, but to be invited as a guest to their special day- held at Barwon Park Mansion in Winchelsea- was a true honor.

The weather turned on a crisp, fresh but lovely sunny winters day. Which was a delight after the chilly, wild weather we had the week prior.

Theming in with the Mansion's vintage beauty and lace like metal detailing, Katherine and Tim's wedding was designed around what lies nearest to their hearts...family. Turning the occasion into a relaxing weekend  full of spending quality time with family and friends.

The colour scheme, Midnight blue, with whites and green textured flowers arranged in polished silver ware and crystal cut vases. Displayed amongst vintage family items collected from both Katherine and Tim's parents and grand parents households and farm. Old books and an array of eclectic items-that each had a story to tell- arranged on burlap and lace table runners in clusters along three long timber trestle tables with timber bentwood chairs.
Old timber doors turned into frames held the seating plan, and photographs of generations past on their wedding day. The cake stood as a feature on a stand made from timber crates and cases, with the cutest figurine of their beloved dog, Betsy-who unfortunately had to stay home.
